The 16-year-old singer said that he has been taking time out over the festive season to catch up on some rest following a hectic year.
He told MTV News, "For New Year's, I'm just hanging out.
"I'm just going to be with my family. Just being with them and relaxing, because I've been go, go, go for the past three years."
He later took to Twitter to keep his fans updated on his laid-back holiday: "Another solid day hanging with the family and friends. love the holidays (sic)," he wrote.
"New years is coming... what is gonna be your new years resolution?"
