Justin Bieber's hotel alias has been revealed and it's that of a character from Friends. It's not Ross Geller. It's not Joey Tribbiani. Nope. It's Chandler Bing, that character played by Matthew Perry. 

The Bieb was actually locked out of his Miami hotel room earlier this month and that's how the alias became a bit more public knowledge.

JUSTIN Bieber and Selena Gomez have denied they are going out, but they most certainly do enjoy each other's company.

They laughed and joked together as they walked at Miami Beach, before realising they had been spotted.

The pair tried to get to the beach, but turned around and ran when they saw all the paparazzi waiting for them.

Bieber, 16, and Gomez, 18, were staying in a plush Miami hotel ahead of Bieber's performance at the American Airlines Arenain Miami.

After sharing pancakes at breakfast in an IHOP franchise in Philadelphia earlier this month, Gomez denied any type of romance insisting that they two were more like brother and sister.

"It was pancakes! Oh my gosh! (Justin is) one of my best friends," she told US Weekly.

"Who doesn't like pancakes? We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."

Gomez said Bieber was "family".

"I love Justin. When he first started to come over from Canada his manager contacted me and he just said that he would like to meet me and he was just such a good kid…" she said.

"I feel like a big sister now, because I want to protect him."

Another previously unheard Justin Bieber song has hit the web: "Ride," an uptempo dance track that leaked online Wednesday (Dec. 22) and finds the 16-year-old pop star reflecting on -- what else? -- love over 8-bit-style blips.

Watchful Beliebers have speculated that "Ride" might appear on Bieber's next album, but a rep for the singer tells Billboard.com, "It's a demo that he wrote for another artist" -- which would explain why Bieber sings, "I could be your queen, but you could be my boo," during the first verse.

"I love it when you call me 'baby,' baby," Bieber later croons, in a melody that will sound familiar to fans of his hit single, "Baby."

Though the rep did not say when Bieber recorded "Ride," some fans have speculated that it was cut some time ago, as the star, whose voice has grown noticeably deeper over the course of 2010, is singing in a higher register on the track.

Clocking in at just over two-and-a-half minutes, "Ride" is the second Bieber cut to leak in recent weeks. "Latin Girl," a track produced by JHype and Goodwill & MGI, surfaced online late November and was recorded for the singer's upcoming album, according to a source. The song's status since the leak is unclear.

Bieber, who released a "My Worlds Acoustic" album on Nov. 26, has thus far only confirmed a collaboration with Rascal Flatts for his next LP, which will be the follow-up to "My World 2.0" and one of the most anticipated releases of next year. "I love Rascal Flatts and I'm honored that they are making music with me," he said.

Biometric devices and personal electronics have increasingly become intertwined over the years, but few have merged the two ideas as seamlessly as these headphones, which can also measure your heart rate.

The headphones are part of a collaboration between the European Space Agency and Swiss tech company CSEM. Using existing ESA technology, the two companies worked together to produce the Pulsar headphones. When placed in your ears, the wraparound mechanism on the headphones sends an infrared signal through your ear tissue/cartilage, which then reads your heartrate and sends the info back to the home device.

This particular prototype is working with an iPhone that has a special passthrough adapter plugged into the headphone jack, and a custom app for visualizing the data. Future iterations of the technology could also provide more detailed information, such as oxygen levels in the body. But for now, this is still in the prototype stage, as no commercial partners have been announced. [ESA via Slashgear]

The veteran singer stunned guests at the awards show in Los Angeles by donning the revealing outfit from her If I Could Turn Back Time video for presenting duties at the ceremony. 
 
And the star admits she felt a little concerned about her skin-tight attire when event organizers pushed teenage pop star Bieber in her direction for a photo opportunity. 
 
She tells U.K. TV host Graham Norton, "I thought, 'I'll do myself in a decade', and that (body-stocking) was the closest thing I had. And then someone said, 'Will you take a picture with Justin Bieber,' and I said, 'Sure', not knowing who he was. And then this child, who came up to here (chest), and I felt like I should cover up before I take a picture with this baby."

Rascal Flatts Recording New Tune With Justin Bieber

Rascal Flatts are about to be the envy of tween girls all over the world. The country trio are set to record a duet with teen pop sensation, Justin Bieber. 

"[Justin] asked us to do a duet with him on his next record," lead singer Gary LeVox told WSIX's retiring morning-show host Gerry House on Tuesday (December 14). "It's actually a really good song!"

No word on the song's title or other details yet, but Gary and bandmates Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney revealed that the young Canadian singer will come to Nashville sometime in the next couple of months to lay down vocals on the track.

'Never Say Never' Director Was 'Nervous' About Justin Bieber Flick

In February fans will finally get the chance to see Justin Bieber's long-awaited "Never Say Never." And the flick's director, Jon Chu, recently dished to MTV News that things are coming along fine as he puts the finishing touches on the February 11 release.

"Oh, we stand pretty tall. It's nuts! This is a world that I have never experienced before," he laughed to MTV News about the 3-D film. Chu, who was promoting the DVD release of "Step Up 3D," said getting the fans' support has been invaluable.

"Again it's like dance, where music tells the story. It's really interesting and his fans have been amazing, shooting him in3-D in Madison Square Garden, exploring his life, going to his hometown. We're almost done with our cut right now and I'm really proud of it. I think people are going to be surprised about the story that they're going to get. Something is really special."

Bieber tweeted about seeing the film recently and gave it his seal of approval. And Chu admitted to us that he's feeling the pressure now to make the best possible film.

"I mean, I'm always nervous. We're always trying to make our movies better," he explained. "We're never done with it though. I just keep going until they tell me I've run out of time. So [Justin] got to see it this week, which was really exciting and he loved it, which is always scary when you try to show someone the story of their life, but he's been very supportive, he and his family and his team. I'm excited to share it with the world and show another side of 3-D. With 'Step Up 3D,' we learned a lot of lessons and we discovered a lot of things, and it's just the beginning."

Biebers Goal for 2011? WIN A GRAMMY

Justin Bieber may have just had his best year ever, but the 16-year-old phenom is already focused on setting another milestone in 2011.

"My goal in 2010 is to win a Grammy," Bieber told Billboard.com at the Z100 Jingle Ball on Friday (Dec. 10), where the teen pop star headlined for a sold-out crowd of screaming fans at New York's Madison Square Garden. 

Bieber, who is nominated for best new artist as well as best pop vocal album for "My World 2.0," knows he's not the only up-and-comer with his eye on the prize, though. When asked who his biggest Grammy competition is, the singer had just one word: "Drizzy," referring to the rapper Drake, who had his own breakout year with his hit debut album, "Thank Me Later."

"I love him," Bieber said of the fellow Canadian star. "He's awesome."

The feeling seems to be mutual, as Drake recently showed love for Bieber while talking about his best new artist Grammy nod with Billboard.com. "I think for guys like me and Justin, being in that category marks a new generation of artist, being that we were birthed on the Internet," Drake said. "It's a bit of a moment for me to see him, who was discovered off of YouTube, and me, who got discovered over MySpace." 

Bieber shared the Jingle Ball stage in New York with a slew of other stars, including Katy Perry, Enrique Iglesias, Selena Gomez, Bruno Mars, B.o.B., Travie McCoy, Paramore and Taio Cruz, among others. The full concert will be broadcast Thursday (Dec. 16) at 9pm ET on Fuse.

The 16-year-old singer has escaped criminal charges related to an alleged Oct. 15 incident at a laser tag center in Richmond, British Columbia; a 12-year-old boy had reportedly accused the pop phenom of punching him.

"This investigation into the incident is now complete and no charges will be forwarded as the evidence collected [doesn't] support doing so," Corporal Turley of the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted Police told RadarOnline.

Shortly after the talked-about scuffle, witnesses told UsMagazine.com that it was Bieber, in fact, who was tormented at the laser tag center. "The 12-year-old and his friends were targeting Bieber and shooting him over and over," an observer said.

"They were calling him names. He was being harassed for his notoriety."

e decided to unpack some of their trends of the year from tweets and status updates.

To measure trends in Facebook’s status updates, data scientist Lars Backstrom looked at words or phrases in terms of the ones that grew most in status updates compared to last year. And the result? “Highs and lows of world events that started a global conversation, new uses of language online, and the sharing of popular culture between friends,” reveals Backstrom.

In similar fashion, Twitter posted its own top ten trends. The complete trend lists, including breakdowns of categories, can be found here.

As a comparison, both trend lists match up particularly well. The FIFA World Cup, Inception, Haiti earthquake, iPad, and Justin Bieber, seem to have found their way onto both. Missing surprisingly from Facebook’s list are the Oil Spill and Pulpo Paul the Octopus, which may be due to the fact that they were largely termed in 2010 itself, and the equally surprising topper was “HMU” — short-hand acronym for “hit me up.”

Worth noting is that while Facebook’s list measured trends relative to their weight in 2009, Twitter’s looked at 2010 alone. Also, Twitter maintains a trending list visible to all its users, which may more or less perpetuate the trends themselves. In contrast, Facebook’s status updates are mostly implicit and spread naturally from user to user.

Selena Gomez denies dating the Biebs!!

Good news for a certain population of feverish fans in love with a 16-year-old Canadian singer: Justin Bieber isn't getting serious with fellow teen-pop sensation Selena Gomez, after all.

At least that's what Gomez, 18, told MTV News this weekend at Jingle Ball 2010, where she firmly denied that her recent outing with Bieber at a Philadelphia breakfast spot was proof of a new romance. (Like, can't two friends dig into some tasty flapjacks and syrup without launching the next great American love story?)

"It was pancakes. Who doesn't like pancakes?" she said. "We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."

Gomez opened up to MTV back in February about how she first developed feelings -- platonic feelings -- for the hitmaker she views as a brother: "I love Justin. Bieber was spotted making out with Jasmine Villegas (co-star in his smash hit 'Baby' video) in the backseat of a Honda earlier this year, but his camp has not confirmed that he's dating anyone at the moment. 

If Disney star Gomez -- who was born when her mom was just 16, and reportedly began wearing a 'purity ring' at age 12 -- is indeed a big-sister figure in Bieber's life, she might simply be counseling the 16-year-old to take it slow on the road to growing up.

He can be next seen on the big screen in a new concert film called 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never'. Gomez is best known for her role as of Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place and is the lead singer in the band Selena Gomez & the Scene. She used to date Nick Jonas, the youngest of the Jonas Brothers before they broke up in April.

Justin Bieber was the world's most-streamed music artist in 2010, according to numbers shared by video analytics company TubeMogul. 

Bieber collected 1.07 billion streams through Dec. 7. TubeMogul's figures include streams from YouTube and MySpace for the five biggest publishers of music video content (EMI, Hollywood Records, Sony Music, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group).

Bieber is a common site on YouTube's all-time list, too. His video for "Baby," featuring Ludacris, is YouTube's all-time most viewed video with 405 million streams through Dec. 8. "Never Say Never," featuring Jaden Smith, is 16th with 118 million views and "Never Let You Go" is 20th with 106 million views.

Just as impressive as Bieber's dominance in 2010 streams is his market share. Bieber's 1.07 billion streams in 2010 represent an incredible 6.9% of the 14.8 billion videos streamed by the top five publishers this year. In other words, about one of every 14 streams for the top five publishers was a Bieber video.

In a distant second place in 2010 was Lady Gaga with just under 879 million streams and a 5.7% share of the top publishers' total streams. Her video for "Bad Romance" ranks second on YouTube's all-time list with 316 million views.

Eminem was third in 2010 with 709 million streams and a 4.6% share of the top publishers' total streams. He has two videos in YouTube's all-time top 10: "Love the Way You Lie" is fifth with 228 million streams and "Not Afraid" ranks seventh all-time at YouTube with 163 million.
